Child and Teen Therapy
Reese's approach to child and teen therapy
Reese's years as a caregiver sparked a lasting commitment to supporting healthy child and teen development. She takes a warm, collaborative, and developmentally attuned approach, meeting each young person where they are. Through validation, encouragement, and practical skill-building, Reese helps children and teens build emotional awareness, strengthen emotion regulation, and rediscover a greater sense of joy in their lives.
Her work draws on play-based therapy, mindfulness practices, and psychodynamic principles, alongside techniques such as cognitive behavioral strategies, expressive and creative arts, and skills drawn from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) for teens. Younger children often express themselves most naturally through play, while older children and teens may benefit from conversation, reflection, and concrete coping tools. Parents and caregivers are a valued part of the process, and Reese keeps them involved in a way that supports the child and respects their privacy.
Sessions are available over Zoom, and in the child's home upon request.
